The Restaurant
95 Keerom Street, circa 1682,
originally housed the stables and slave quarters of the Company Gardens.
Many of the original elements, including the façade and brick walls,
have been saved in the restoration process. These fascinating features,
combined with the elegant, modern lines of the décor, contribute to
the eclectic atmosphere of the restaurant.
The upstairs area is
open-plan and modern, setting an extremely glamorous tone. Alternatively,
we have three smaller rooms downstairs which provide a quieter, more
intimate space. In addition to this, a versatile private dining room can be
configured to cater for up to twelve people - ideal for celebrating special
occasions!

The Menu
Taking its origins from authentic Milanese cuisine, 95 strives
to provide our guests with a glimpse of genuine Italian food, through the
use of the highest quality local and imported ingredients. The passionate
Executive Chef and owner, Giorgio Nava, is not a believer in luck and in
short-cuts. He believes in efficiency and organization and therefore it
will not come as a surprise if his supply of everything fresh is assured
by his own fishing boat and by his own Karoo farm.
The secret of our fresh-tasting meals is a result of doing as
little as possible to the raw ingredients, allowing the customer to taste
exactly what they are looking at on the plate – unpretentious and delicious.
From serving only the freshest seafood, to baking bread twice daily, 95
promises to deliver only the finest fare.

Our wine list offers only
the finest award-winning South African and Italian wines, with a large
selection of champagnes and methode cap classiques.
Over the years 95 Keerom has
been granted extensive press coverage and has repeatedly featured in the
specialised international and local media, newspapers as well as magazines,

The New York Times - Frommer's Review
This urbane restaurant -- modern in the very best sense
(unpretentious and comfortable) -- is proof that the Cape Town dining scene
has come of age. Not only because it feels good to walk through (intimate
spaces downstairs showcase the building's age with raw brickwork, offset
with slate and glass, and plenty of wood; upstairs an ancient olive tree
serves as organic centerpiece), but because the food is simple and
straightforward, service is excellent, and owner Giorgio hasn't felt the
same compunction to charge high prices just because he can. It's
affordable glam, and Capetonians love it. The waitstaff is excellent, and
Giorgio visits every table to ensure that the evening is going as expected.
The menu is extensive, but
start with one of the carpaccio choices and follow with the tuna, cooked
"New York" style with anchovies, capers, olives, and tomatoes (incidentally,
Giorgio has purchased his own boat to ensure fish is truly fresh). For the
more carnivorous, the pork loin, rolled with spinach and ricotta and served
with mushroom sauce, is a definite hit.
